A Spirit with Purpose: Introducing Fortitude Gin for St. Wilfrid’s Hospice
At Harley House Distillery, we have always believed that our craft is deeply connected to the Sussex coast we call home. We distil, bottle, and share our spirits right here in Seaford, surrounded by a community that has supported us from day one. As we move into the season of giving, we wanted to find a way to give back to the people who make this area so incredibly special.
That is why we are incredibly proud to introduce Fortitude Gin—a strictly limited-edition, small-batch release created to raise vital funds for St. Wilfrid’s Hospice.
Supporting St. Wilfrid’s Hospice
For over four decades, St. Wilfrid’s Hospice has been a pillar of strength for our local area. They provide specialist, compassionate palliative and end-of-life care to patients and their families across Eastbourne, Seaford, Hailsham, Uckfield, and the surrounding East Sussex communities. For more information on the hospice, please visit their website on https://www.stwhospice.org/
The care, dignity, and support they provide are offered entirely free of charge to those who need it most. To help ensure they can continue this extraordinary work, proceeds from every single bottle of Fortitude Gin sold will go directly to the hospice.
The Liquid: A Classic London Dry
While the cause is what makes this bottle truly special, the spirit inside is crafted with the uncompromising quality you expect from Harley House.
Fortitude is a timeless, juniper-led London Dry gin, double pot-distilled in small batches. We balance resinous juniper with bright fresh citrus, aromatic coriander, and earthy roots. To finish, the spirit is softened using mineral-rich water filtered naturally through the deep chalk aquifers of the South Downs.
The Nose: Vibrant piney juniper up front, layered with delicate orange blossom and fresh lemon zest.
The Palate: Crisp, balanced, and round. Pine and warm coriander seed give way to a gentle, earthy spice with zero harsh burn.
The Finish: Incredibly smooth and clean, leaving a lingering, refreshing citrus and juniper glow.
A Strictly Limited Release
To make this release truly unique, we have capped the production at a single batch of just 250 bottles worldwide. Each 70cl bottle is filled, sealed, and individually hand-numbered right here at the stillhouse.
Priced at £40.00, it is a rare opportunity to secure a beautiful artisan Sussex gin while supporting an essential local lifeline.
