Prohibition Rum

The bootleggers at Harley House Distillery have been hard at work, once again crossing borders and pushing boundaries to bring you The Prohibition Rum Range. Born from the illicit history of our local coastline, this Smugglers Cut is heavily inspired by the historic smuggling routes of the South Downs in East Sussex. In the dead of night, the most daring bootleggers would always take a cut of the very best spirits as their payment, and that is exactly what we have bottled here.

A Distinctively English Rum

All our rums are made entirely from scratch at our home distillery in Seaford, East Sussex, meaning we can proudly class ourselves as a true English Rum. The only imported ingredient we use is high-quality molasses. We are one of the very few distilleries in the UK that undergo this rigorous, grain-to-glass process, and it is exactly what makes our rum so distinctive. To finish, we blend the spirit using pure, chalk-filtered water drawn directly from our local aquifer in the South Downs.
